How to Apply to the Environmental Science Program

If our enrollment is full, we will put your name on our waiting list.

Full Program Tuition for 2017: $1,345.

All final payments due by May 1, 2017. If final payment is not received by May 1, 2017, deposit will be forfeited.

If you pay a deposit today, you can return later to pay the tuition balance online.

You can register online by using credit card or eCheck at the online payment page.

You can also download the registration form, complete it, and mail it with a check to:

REGISTERING FOR 2017

Note also that in order for your student to participate in the Program, you must provide the following forms and a doctor's exam sheet (dated within past 2 years):

1. Consent Form/Release from Liability (1 page);
2. Photo/Video Release Form (1 page);
3. Immunization Record (Staff & Students under 18) + Special Activities Permission Form (3 pages); and
4. Authorization to Administer Medication to a Camper Form (1 page).

You can download these forms from the forms page. The completed forms can be scanned and uploaded with your online registration or mailed to David Backer, Executive Director, Environmental Science Program, P.O. Box 600292, Newton, MA 02460.

The Environmental Science Program is open to students who will be entering grades 7, 8, 9, or 10 by September 2017. This year, the program will operate from July 5th, 2017 to August 3rd, 2017*. If you have any questions about the Program or the plans for Summer of 2017, please contact us at contact@newtonenvisci.org.
* dates of operation may change due to Newton public schools snow days schedule.

Financial Aid
Financial aid is available in the form of partial scholarships donated by the Newton Conservators, Inc., Green Newton, and other organizations and individuals (see our Supporters page). Aid will be awarded based on need and availability. This program must comply with the regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the City of Newton Health Department.
